We understand that prior to the fear and anxiety associated with COVID-19 you and your family might have been struggling with the anxiety of being hurt on the job or being a victim of an accident. Frasier, Frasier & Hickman’s work focuses on helping our clients get through challenging times like these and we want to share with you steps we are taking to ensure your case continues to move smoothly in the environment created by COVID-19.
Courts in Oklahoma, including the Supreme Court earlier this week, declared an emergency in extending all deadlines and dates for the next few weeks and 30 days, depending on the court. Some courts will still hear emergency matters should the need arise. Oklahoma’s Workers’ Compensation Court and Workers’ Compensation Commission canceled their hearings this week and they do so for the next week. Even if your case is not scheduled for trial or a motion to take place in the next 30 days, this development will most likely incur additional delays for everybody. In other words, you will probably not lose your turn in line, even with the delay.
Today brings new challenges as we face a national shutdown of our courthouses and business attracting more than a handful of people. At Frasier, Frasier & Hickman, we understand the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic may increase financial pressure you are already facing. Please know that since we are a boutique law firm, these mandatory closures will not stop us. Our office will remain open through this emergency and we will continue to fight on your behalf. Always feel free to contact us with any specific questions or concerns to your case or about any other legal issue. As of now, we will continue to keep you advised and we will operate our office on a normal schedule. If you would like to meet with one of us, please contact us to make appropriate arrangements.
