Move swiftly after an on-the-job injury in Oklahoma

Workplace injuries are unexpected and, oftentimes, extremely disruptive events. For the employer, there are concerns about how the injury occurred and what can be done to prevent future injuries from occurring in the same manner. But, for injured employees, the concerns are more immediate – their health and their income.

When accidents occur on-the-job and Oklahoma residents are facing these uncertainties, they probably have more questions than answers. However, in most cases, there is no time to lose. Injured workers must move swiftly in order to take the right steps to begin the process of applying for and, hopefully, being approved to receive workers’ compensation benefits.

There are certain time-related requirements for workers to comply with after they have been injured on the job. Injured workers must inform their employers as soon as possible after an accident has occurred in order to head-off these deadlines. Furthermore, the entire process of applying for workers’ compensation can be somewhat complicated at times. The sooner that injured workers begin the application process, the hope is that means the sooner they will be approved to receive workers’ compensation benefits.

At our law firm, we understand that injured workers are facing an uncertain time in their lives and are looking for answers. We work with these injured employees to attempt to guide them through the Oklahoma workers’ compensation system.
